Amazing Launch of Pixel 3

Pixel 3

The new Google Pixel 3 was launched yesterday in a lavish ceremony by Google. Now we will go through the specs of the brand new Google Pixel 3, Pixel 3XL will be discussed in a later post. We will also look at the price and when it will be released.

Specifications:

Processor:

The Google Pixel 3 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 and 4GB of RAM. The RAM is quite less compared to the competitors as they are mostly using 6GB or 8GB of RAM in their flagship devices. Apple's recent A12 is said to be the fastest processor chip, but we will have to wait and see when we put it to a test side by side the A12.

Display:

The 5.5-inch OLED screen on the device covers most of the phone, like a lot of the recent phones coming out these days. The device is the same size which makes the device easy to hold and with a screen covering the whole of the front size, it's great to watch movies with. The bezels are shrinking day by day and The bezel to screen aspect ratio is 18:9.

Battery Life:

The Pixel 3 has a 2,915mAH battery, which is slightly smaller than we were anticipating, as the Samsung Galaxy S9 has a 3,000 mAh battery but Google's battery management is quite good so exactly how long does the device last will have to be seen.

Camera:

Photo:

The Pixel has a 12.2MP back camera and Google does its own software processing in the background to get the incredible details with their cameras. The software-based Bokeh Control is quite brilliant with the Google Pixel Family of devices. There are some new Beauty touching features with the new Google Pixel 3 which can be toggled on and off depending on the user. The rear-facing camera has a f/1.8 aperture which is quite good but not as great as some phones have a better aperture. On the other hand, a feature like the Night Sight should give Google an edge over the competitors when doing low light photography and it even has electronic image stabilization.
The selfie camera has been improved and has a new feature called a Selfie photo, this increases the camera's field of vision to get more from the background and not just the person, the apertures do differ from normal and selfie mode though.

Video:

The Google Pixel 3 camera can record 4K 30fps which is great considering it's in a smartphone but recent Apple devices can record 4K 60fps which are truly amazing in a smartphone camera,  so I guess with the new Google Pixel 3 we were hoping, the video recording would have been improved to compete with its competitors but sadly it was not.

Design:

The new design is more uniform than the previous Google flagship device as it doesn't have two separate colors on the back and has just one color which is a new design. The Fingerprint sensor is still in the same location which is quite ideal for the people as it's easy to reach. The front side does come with a notch but it can be changed in the settings to make the notch disappear.

Release Date and Pricing:

The Google Pixel 3 is supposed to be released on Thursday, October 18 in the US and November 1 in the UK and Australia. Pre-orders begin around the world today. The US Google Pixel 3 price starts at £799 and it goes up with the storage capacity chosen.

A Review will be posted when we get to use the device hands-on so follow us on here. We will post our sincere review.
